Compounding for Dermatology & Cosmeceuticals

COSMECEUTICALS REPRESENT THE MARRIAGE OF COSMETICS & PHARMACEUTICALS

Like cosmetics, cosmeceuticals are topically applied, but they contain ingredients that influence the biological function of the skin. Cosmeceuticals improve the appearance of skin by delivering nutrients necessary for healthy skin.

Examples of cosmeceuticals include anti-aging creams and moisturizers containing active ingredients such as vitamins, phytochemicals, enzymes and antioxidants. The most advanced cosmeceuticals are a combination cosmetics and micronutrition. Dermatologists, doctors and patients face many problems that may be relieved with customized cosmeceuticals, including:

  • Acne

  • Wrinkles

  • Fine Lines

  • Dark circles under the eyes

  • Loss of radiance

  • Thin skin

  • Crows feet

  • Eczema

  • Inflamed skin

  • Rosacea
